Some dreams are precognitive in nature, preparing us for some future event. Others are Divine Connections, visits with our spirit guides, guardian angels, or with friends or family who have passed over. A good number of our dreams, however, are simply “process dreams”, a way for our subconscious to digest events in our lives, or to awaken us to our true desires and needs. Here are some good examples of dreams that we identified as “process dreams” and what they probably mean…
Dreams That Say ‘Wake-Up!’
Dreams are a way for our souls to communicate with us, a way for our subconscious and superconscious minds to interact with our conscious selves. Here’s an example of a recurring process dream that had one of our visitors quite worried.
Am I in Danger?
I would like to know what this dream means, because I keep having similar dreams. I keep dreaming that something is holding me down where I can’t wake up or move. I’m trying to scream but can’t. I can feel myself trying to move but can’t.
I was trying to force myself to wake up in one of these dreams, so I kept pulling myself until I got into the bathroom to put cold water on my face. First I could not feel anything on my hands or face and when I looked in the mirror it was not me. I finally came out of the dream.
I want to know what is the message that is trying to be told to me. And am I in danger. I am afraid by this. Sharon Woods
My sense is that your dreams are trying to tell you to quite literally wake up – probably to the truth of something that’s going on around you or in you… ie perhaps there’s something you’ve always wanted to do, but just haven’t recognized consciously that you want… or perhaps there’s been something bothering you or stopping you in your life and your dreams are trying to tell you to wake up and notice… In any case, the only danger I think you’re in, is the danger of not waking up, of not noticing – the danger of missing an opportunity for example.
I think you might find it worth investing in a reading to see if you can identify what specifically it is that you’re wanting to wake up to… Ask for help and understanding from your angels and God/Goddess. Asking the question in prayer and meditation “what am I trying to tell myself with these dreams/ What do I want to wake up to?” often will enable the answers to come to you easily and naturally… nd then take a step, any step, no matter how small. Spend some solid time in meditation and prayer generating some good loving energy for your ideas, visualize them happening, see yourself in the middle of accomplishing what you want… then let the universe get into action behind you, be alert for every opportunity that presents itself…Hope that helps, Lotsa LLLove, Danielle
I want to thank you for your response. There are somethings in my life that I want to do, I just don’t know how to go about it. Thank you again and anything else you can think of please help me. I look forward to hearing from you. Sharon
Some Process Dreams
I have been having nightmares for the last few nights. Friday night my nightmare involved some strange creature with a human sort of shape covered in green jelly coming out of the sea but I don’t remember much more. Only that he was either coming from the dead or was an alien.
Saturday night my dream involved a huge black spider. In my dream I went into my bedroom and suddenly noticed that the ceiling was covered in spider webs. Next thing I was sleeping in my bedroom with my boyfriend next to me and out of the spider webs in the ceiling came out a really huge black spider, it crawled down the wall ant then crawled over my boyfriends bare back. I was desperately trying to scream John John John! (this is my boyfriends name) but no sound came out, then the spider came towards me and I was wanting to scream more and more but still no sound came out. For some reason I could not get out of bed to run away because there was something about my feet that stopped me from doing so and my boyfriend would not wake up because I could not manage to scream. It was very scary and very frustrating. Can you interpret these dreams? Many thanks Margot
Well, I feel that these two dreams are in fact quite related. I will start with the second dream first – as you will shortly see how it will lead into the first dream … and how they seem to be related. As far as what I have experienced with previous clients, seeing spiders in a dream are actually good! All spiders, except tarantulas, are signs of good luck. For example, if you see a spider climbing a wall you will see your dearest wish come true. If you see a spider spinning a web, then you will have an increase in income due to hard work. A large spider sitting on a telephone shows you will have a phone call that will benefit you greatly – usually to do with work (i.e. increase in pay, new job, new position, etc). The larger the spider, the bigger the reward. With that said, this particular message seems to relate directly to hubby. Could it be possible that he has been searching for a new job, or trying to establish a new position or any recognition within a particular company? Or maybe even more work? I do feel that you yourself have been worrying about finances – like there is barely enough to get by and wishing for more opportunities, etc. Hence why hubby may be looking at different possibilities within the work-area. This particular dream is seeming to alert you that there is in fact an opportunity for him – of which he may be “blind to.” But there is really nothing you can do for him other than alert him yourself … he has to “connect” with this opportunity himself. It is apparent to me that the opportunity is already there – already within reach for him. He just has to”wake up” and realize it.
Now – as for the first dream that you described, where you see “a strange creature with a human sort of shape covered in green jelly coming out of the sea.” As mentioned this dream seems to be linked to the other dream – yet another “wake up call.” This strange creature is not coming from the dead, nor is it an alien. It is actually representing the opportunity I mentioned that is awaiting your husband. The green jelly that you speak of – that represents to me money itself. The opportunity is “oozing” with financial potential. And if you delve further into this, does the phrase, “sea of opportunity” ring true for you? The great “new opportunity” is rising out of the “sea of opportunity.” I hope this has helped! Rest easy – I feel that because of these dreams … things will definitely iron out for you and hubby. Like I said – he just needs to “wake up” and realize! Brightest of Blessings, Lisa
It appears there are new things coming into John’s life. The spiders tell of how he is spinning new things in his life. Seeing the spider coming to you and then seeing yourself restrained. Shows that there are things that you need to be doing as well as change .But you are fearful of the change and holding yourself back and trying to hold John back as well. Hope this helps. As soon as you see the truths of this. The sooner the nightmares will go away. Love and light Barb …
For some odd reason I was moving out of a house. My brother was there and his girlfriend, almost everything was out of the house and the last thing I asked my brother to remove was a china cabinet, it looked just like the one we had in our home when we were small. After I asked him to take it, his girlfriend said oh my god look at the wall, there was bright light , like fire, and then you could see the image of angels and I started cyring and calling mommy, then of course I woke up…………..but my mother passed away 12 years ago. Pauline
From the sounds of it this dream was about your processing some of the grief you have held in you over the loss of your Mother, and it may even have been a direct message from your Mom, that she is with the angels. Fire is cleansing and purifying… so you may find that you are going through some changes in your life over the next period that are helping you to put the past behind you – your Mom would want you to know that she is with you during this transformation.
